Siqueira Lima is one of the most prestigious guitar duos of present time.  With performances that joins the classic to the Brazilian instrumental, they are recognized worldwide for technical virtuosity, interpretative, perfect harmony and by their daring and original arrangements for two guitars.

Cecilia and Fernando met at the II International Pro-Music / SESC Guitar Competition in 2001 in the city of Caxias do Sul (Brazil) where they shared the first place among participants from several countries. This event was crucial to the formation of the duo and to the beginning of an international career. Fernando de Lima, born in 1978 in Sao Bent, became interested in classical guitar at the age of 12 and began studying with Luis Carlos da Silva, continuing with Marcelino Diogo Leite at the Conservatory “Maestro  Marciliano Braga ” in Varginha (MG) and his main master teacher was Henrique Pinto.

Besides soloist and chamber musician, Fernando develops a profound work as a repertoire researcher and arranger.

Cecilia Siqueira was born in Paysandú, Uruguay in 1982 coming from a family of several important musicians. Her parents Julio Siqueira and Raquel Franco, guitar teachers, headed Cecilia for the world of music at an early age and by the age of 15 years old she had won first prize in a national competition for guitar.

She studied in Paysandú with Hugo Acosta and in Montevideo with Professor Cesar Amaro Carlevaro. At the same time began performing at various Uruguayan venues and appears frequently on TV channels, becoming very popular in her country. In 2001 won the first prize at the International Guitar Competition Pro-Música/SESC in Caxias do Sul – RG and released her first solo album “Lo Vendra” in Germany, with a varied repertoire, from Bach to Agustin Barrios.
