Cecilia and Fernando met at the II International Pro-Music / SESC Guitar Competition in 2001 in the city of Caxias do Sul (Brazil) where they shared the first place among participants from several countries. Her parents Julio Siqueira and Raquel Franco, guitar teachers, headed Cecilia for the world of music at an early age and by the age of 15 years old she had won first prize in a national competition for guitar.

She studied in Paysandú with Hugo Acosta and in Montevideo with Professor Cesar Amaro Carlevaro.
